Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Electrical Estimator based in the Calgary area. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and multi-family electrical projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, interpreting blueprints, conducting site visits as needed, and collaborating closely with project managers and clients. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor costs, and relevant regulatory requirements within the electrical industry.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control
  • Experience in Electrical Contracting and knowledge of Electricity principles
  • Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is an asset
  • Experience with estimation software and tools preferred (i.e. Accubid)
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
