Job Description

As a Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson, you will work with a team of fully flexible tradespersons to ensure mill availability is maximized in an efficient manner.  With a focus on reliability and Predictive / Preventative maintenance, you will be involved with inspections and repairs to a variety of mill mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • In addition to your immediate team, you will work closely with other departments, which consists of Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Supply & Services and E/I
  • Together with your team, you will help execute the strategies and initiatives that drive safety, environmental compliance, quality, and production goals
  • While mainly requiring day work, there will be occasional requirements for overtime, on-call or shift relief

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Pipefitter.
  • Ideally 2-5 years’ experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry would be considered an asset
  • Journeyman Welder (F3, F4 Pressure Pipe ticket, Tig & Mig) would be considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
