Temporary Full-Time Seasonal Opportunities Available
The City of Delta’s Engineering Operations Department provides essential services to the communities of Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. We are seeking reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join our Construction and Utilities teams in temporary full-time seasonal positions.
These positions support the construction, maintenance, and repair of municipal water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure. The ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge of the methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in underground utility construction and maintenance work.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required, along with familiarity with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles. Applicants must submit a current Driver’s Record (five years history) with their application. Applications submitted without a Driver’s Record will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered. Please have this document ready to upload when you apply. Successful candidates will be selected based on the experience and skills related to the position.
The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $32.93 to $40.00 (2024 Rate), depending on the position awarded. Temporary full-time employees become eligible for extended health, dental, and life insurance coverage after six months of continuous employment.
As positions have a variety of start dates, applications will be reviewed, and hiring will occur throughout the posting period.
