Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Other Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary This course will cover mobile video recording and editing techniques, how to record and edit audio, how to take and edit digital images, and how to add logos, titles/captions, transitions, effects, and more to mobile videos. Students will be expected to attend and document live events as part of their course work Position Requirements The successful candidate must have completed a MFA, MA, PhD in Creative Technologies, Film, and or equivalency.

  • Experience with creating and editing professional, cinematic digital videos using a smartphone
  • Experience with using gear and software to record and edit photos and videos with a mobile smart device (e.g., gimbals, external mics, video editing apps, etc.)
  • Experience with documenting live events for social media
  • Experience with optimizing smartphone videos for a variety social media platforms
  • An understanding of how to use smartphone settings, such as aperture, ISO, frame rates, etc.
