THE OPPORTUNITY

Kryton International, a highly respected and successful world innovator in concrete waterproofing and durability solutions, is seeking an additional member to their Human Resources and Administration Department. We are looking for a new high-performing ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT who will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and office support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organization. This role serves as a first point of contact for visitors and callers, supports office coordination, assists with basic finance and timekeeping tasks, and helps maintain a professional, well-organized workplace. This role directly reports to the Human Resources Manager.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Administration Assistant brings 1–2 years of administrative and office support experience (preferred) and a strong commitment to providing professional, friendly front-desk and office coordination support. This individual is highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting timekeeping, basic finance administration, and accurate recordkeeping. They also take pride in contributing to a positive workplace culture by assisting with employee engagement activities, internal events, training coordination, and holiday observances.


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administration Assistant provides essential front-desk, office, and HR administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations and a professional workplace environment. Key responsibilities include answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, coordinating meeting room bookings and set-ups, maintaining common areas, managing office supply orders and requisitions, and overseeing mail and courier services. The role also supports timekeeping and attendance tracking by reviewing timesheets and following up on missing or inaccurate entries, and assists with basic finance administration such as corporate credit card reconciliation, invoice processing, filing, and recordkeeping. In addition, the position supports employee relations and engagement initiatives by helping coordinate national holiday observances, training sessions, team-building activities, and internal events including employee birthday celebrations, while maintaining accurate filing systems and providing administrative support to departments as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: At least 1 – 2 years administrative and office support experience preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education an asset)
  • Employee Relations & Engagement Support
  • Monitor and coordinate national holiday observances, including flag raising and related office arrangements
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of team-building activities and training sessions
  • Prepare and organize training materials, handouts, and supplies as required
  • Coordinate employee birthday celebrations, including preparation of birthday items and office announcements
  • Provide general administrative support for employee engagement and internal events
  • General Administrative Duties
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
  • Assist with data entry and document preparation
  • Provide administrative support to departments as needed
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
