Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Manager in the Office of the CEO, you will be a key operational partner responsible for enabling the effective functioning of the CEO’s office. While working with the Executive Assistant and Advisor to the CEO, you will act as a central point of coordination - ensuring alignment across executive administration, governance, stakeholder engagement, and internal teams - while setting standards and providing leadership to the executive administrative function.


This is a 12-month contract role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role will require you to predominately work in-office four to five days a week, with some flexibility to work from home.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Anticipating needs, providing timely updates and managing administrative support functions for the CEO including information triage and exchange, meeting management, minute-taking, travel plans and materials preparation
  • Providing oversight, guidance, direction, training and/or mentorship to the executive administrative team to enhance service support levels to our executives and senior leaders
  • Facilitating meetings that allows for team connection, timely updates and a platform for discussion to allow for a seamless executive and senior leader level support
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (including members, community/business leaders, partners and the general public) as needed to support the leadership engagement and advocacy work of the CEO in the broader community
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of ELT meetings and one-on-one meetings with the CEO in order to identify opportunities and suggest improvements to optimize capacity so that the right issues are discussed at the right time, in the right meeting and with the right people in the room.
  • Coordinating consolidation of the budget and financial reporting requirements on behalf of the Office of the CEO.
  • Participating in the following Management Committees: Executive Support to the Executive Leadership Team Committee.


What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting C-suite executives in a complex organization, with demonstrated exposure to executive office operations
  • Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating teams, with the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Strong understanding of governance and executive committee processes
  • Project management experience or certification considered an asset
  • High degree of judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Interest in leveraging technology to improve workflows and service delivery

  • Agile - you are flexible and forward-thinking with the ability to analyze information and situations quickly and prepare for anticipated needs, changes and demands.
  • Exceptionally organized - you possess well-established organizational skills, minute taking and record retention skills.
  • Tech savvy - you have an aptitude for technology and have a high comfort-level with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and other information-sharing, communication and social-media platforms.
  • A natural multitasker- you enjoy operating multi-functionally and can handle a high volume of tasks and projects with competing deadlines.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $81,200 to $122,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
