Your Background
- We are looking for a Field Automation Technician (Field Engineer) to be part of our service
- team, specializing in commissioning pump-off controllers (POCs) and variable frequency drives
- (VFDs) who will be on the road for a lot of the time as they visit client sites in Western Canada.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical, electronic, and automation equipment
- Interpret and read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
- Conduct and supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of systems
- Test power systems, electrical components, and control systems
- Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
- Set up and operate specialized and standard diagnostic/testing equipment
- Assist in preparing estimates, specifications, schedules, and technical reports
- Inspect, test, and adjust electronic components and industrial control systems
- Calibrate instruments and electronic equipment
- Complete work orders, service documentation, and maintenance reports
- Evaluate work environments to support safe practices and prevent risk

Qualifications

- 2-3 years of relevant field experience

- Must be willing to travel frequently (travel expenses are paid by the employer)
- Criminal record check
- Fluency in English is required
