The Opportunity

We are seeking an Accounting Manager who will play a key role in building and strengthening our accounting processes, reporting, and controls as we grow. Reporting to the CFO, this role will partner closely with our outsourced bookkeeping team and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate month-end close, high-quality financial reporting, and strong transactional accounting oversight. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to build structure where little exists today.

How Will You Make an Impact?

• Own the month-end close process including preparation, review, and reconciliation
• Partner closely with our outsourced bookkeeping team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of transactional accounting and monthly working papers
• Build and document accounting processes, workflows, and controls from the ground up
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Support SaaS-specific accounting areas around revenue recognition and deferred revenue
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and actively support audits, tax filings, and investor requests
• Collaborate with the CFO and internal stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate processes, and scale systems over time
• Act as a strategic partner to the organization from an accounting standpoint

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong financial acumen with knowledge of IFRS or ASPE (US GAAP is a plus)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software
• Proven ability to build processes from scratch and scale them over time
• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-moving startup environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Compensation

The base salary for this role starts at $85,000–$110,000 CAD, with flexibility for exceptional candidates based on experience, skills, and impact.
