About The Role
The Senior Media Planner is responsible for the development of client specific media plans across all media disciplines, providing supporting research and day-to-day client contact and servicing on assigned accounts. This person may also provide supervision and training to junior team members.

About The Role
The Senior Media Planner is responsible for the development of client specific media plans across all media disciplines, providing supporting research and day-to-day client contact and servicing on assigned accounts. This person may also provide supervision and training to junior team members.
Your Impact
Client Service
- Day to day client contact
- Responsible for carrying out client requests and assist projects for the group
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients, external agencies, and media partners
- Successfully supervise the workflow of Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners for the day to day running of the account, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, project status is monitored.
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Responsible for the development of client specific media plans across all channels
- Provides interpretation of competition and other research data
- Implements the EssenceMediacom Systems Thinking into plans
- Works with all internal resources including Investment, Finance and Strategy, and BI&A in carrying out the development of their plans and client service requirements
- Oversees all media accounting and administrative duties required on their assigned accounts including monthly media expenditure reports (BCR’s)
- Participate in clients’ plan presentations
- Solid understanding of online and offline planning
- Proficiency with research tools i.e. IMS, Infosys, COMBNavigator, ComScore, Nielsen
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills
- Solid collaborative and team work oriented skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Begin to develop presentation skills
- Detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
- Begins to understand the client’s business
- Detail, accuracy and mathematical competency a must
- Strong computer skills with a particular emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage and meet multiple demands within timeline
- 3+ years experience in media planning
- Post-secondary degree, specialization in Advertising and/or Marketing is an asset
