Account Administrator, Underwriting at Axis Insurance

As an Account Administrator Underwriting, a typical day might include:
- Reviewing underwriting details for new and existing accounts against various binding authorities
- Attending marketing and insurer meetings to gain knowledge of market conditions and competitors
- Creating rate sheets in compliance with binding authorities and refers risks as needed to various markets in accordance with those authorities
- Quoting new and renewal terms to Account Executives and Account Managers under supervision of a Level II licensee
- Ensuring Axis’ policies and procedures are compliant with various binding authorities
- Completing and submitting monthly bordereaux for each of the binding authorities
- Investigating policy documents in compliance with various binding authorities
- Participating in audits of various binding authorities
- Managing daily administration of accounts in Epic, including attaching correspondence, transacting, and issuing documents
- Maintaining expiration lists and abeyances
- Ensuring all documents are accurate and accounts are kept in an orderly manner

Must Haves:
- Minimum 6 months of insurance experience, consistently meeting internal core competencies
- General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia; equivalent license in province of residence with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license; or commitment to obtain a Level 1 license within 6 months of hire
- Active pursuit of CAIB, CIP, CRM, or other insurance designations considered an asset
- Post Secondary Degree considered an asset
