We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, People Operations, to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this role is responsible for overseeing the licensed employee lifecycle with a strong focus on onboarding, offboarding, licensing administration, and people reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable in insurance licensing requirements, and passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
What does the Manager, People Operations do? As the Manager, People Operations, you will oversee and optimize employee lifecycle processes across the organization. You will partner with branch leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences, maintain accurate employee records, and support compliance with insurance licensing requirements across Canada. In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage onboarding and offboarding processes for branch employees to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Maintain employee records and support all aspects of employee lifecycle administration.
- Oversee credential management activities within internal broker management systems and external market portals.
- Manage insurance licensing processes and annual renewals while ensuring compliance with provincial regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for licensing administration and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
- Produce and analyze workforce metrics related to onboarding, turnover, headcount, and branch composition to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with branch leaders to review and approve prospective hires in alignment with company standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Monitor compliance risks and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a positive organizational culture that supports employee engagement and company values.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with a focus on employee lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of insurance licensing requirements and compliance across multiple Canadian jurisdictions.
- Experience managing data and reporting.
- Experience implementing process improvements and managing multiple priorities.
- Leadership or people management experience is considered an asset.
What We Offer
- Target Hiring Range: $68,000-$72,000
- Salary Band 6: $68,000 - $88,000
