Administrative Assistant, Mental Health & Substance Use and Child & Youth Health at Northern Health
Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Administrative Assistant to support the Mental Health & Substance Use and Child & Youth Health department.
The Administrative Assistant, Mental Health and Substance Use (MH & SU) and Child & Youth Health provides direct administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Leads and Medical Leads of the MH & SU and Child & Youth Health Programs.
Starting salary will be approximately from $49,445 to $61,806 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with completion of a one year recognized business/secretarial certificate.
- Three (3) years to five (5) recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to type 60 words per minute.
- Advanced computer skills including familiarity with Windows environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability or organize work.
- Ability to function with little or no supervision and to handle pressure with a varied workload.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
