Position Summary

The Richmond Olympic Oval is seeking an energetic, service-driven fitness leader to support the growth and delivery of Personal Training and Fitness Services within the Fitness & Longevity department.

As a Personal Training Supervisor, you will serve as a key point of contact for members and trainers while helping deliver an exceptional overall fitness experience through coaching leadership, client engagement, sales support, and operational excellence.

This role plays a key part in driving personal training revenue and member retention through proactive client engagement, goal setting, relationship management, and exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Trainer Support

    • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to Personal Trainers through regular communication, floor presence, and feedback to promote accountability, professional growth, and exceptional client experiences
    • Assist with onboarding and ongoing trainer development initiatives
    • Organize and support continuing education workshops and team meetings
    • Conducts staff briefings as required and maintains open communication with operational updates through SharePoint and Teams and ensures effective communication with management.

Fitness Concierge & Client Experience

    • Deliver fitness consultations focused on member education, goal setting, and sales through service
    • Conduct new member and client follow-ups to enhance engagement and retention
    • Match clients with trainers based on goals, personality, and service needs
    • Support client success through proactive communication, accountability, and relationship-building
    • Assist in resolving member concerns related to trainer fit, scheduling, service expectations, or overall fitness experience while helping maintain a positive and professional member environment

Sales & Revenue Growth

    • Support personal training sales, package renewals, and client retention initiatives
    • Execute daily sales sheet follow-ups and lead management responsibilities
    • Follow up with prospective and existing clients regarding consultations, packages, and service opportunities
    • Work alongside the Department Manager to support member engagement strategies and promotional campaigns for personal training and specialty fitness programming (i.e. HYROX activations)
    • Identify opportunities to grow fitness service participation and revenue

Program & Operational Support

    • Assist in the development and coordination of personal training and small group training services
    • Assist in managing Personal Training schedules, bookings, and client session tracking within Xplor Recreation
    • Monitor equipment needs nd repairs, and overall presentation of the training environment within the personal training studio
    • Assist with reporting, payroll preparation, KPI tracking, and departmental metrics as directed by the Manager, Fitness & Longevity

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

    • Degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Physical Education, or related field
    • Current CSEP, NSCA-CSCS, or equivalent certification
    • Current First Aid and CPR certification
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
    • Experience with Xplor Recreation and/or Mindbody Online is considered an asset
    • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check

Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or coordinator experience in the fitness industry
    • Experience in personal training, coaching, or fitness service delivery
    • Experience with sales, lead follow-up, and client relationship management considered an asset
    • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development

Compensation: $34.16 - $38.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience. An additional 12% is provided in lieu of benefits.

Availability: Must be flexible, shifts vary and may be weekday mornings, evenings and weekends
