Student Assistant - Marketing and Communications at Keyano College
The Opportunity
Keyano College’s Public Engagement Department is looking for a Student Assistant, Marketing and Communications to join their team. The Student Assistant will contribute to the development, creation and roll-out of social media content. The focus is on creating authentic and organic content. This role is designed to bring the student perspective to Keyano's social channels, resulting in content that is relatable and engaging to current and prospective students. This position will start on August 19, 2026, and end on or before December 24, 2026
Hours - evening and weekend hours as scheduled.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Social content - brainstorm, research and develop creative ideas with the Marketing team to highlight student life at Keyano College.
- Support the marketing department in creating social media content (posts, stories, reels, etc.), assist with photography and videography when needed.
- Collaboratively with the Marketing & Communication staff, connect with the Huskies, Theatre, Student Association and the overall student body to create authentic content.
- Stay up to date with online trends to share the Keyano story with its audience.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Social media fluency.
- Ability to use digital tools to create social media content.
- Must be a Keyano student and legally allowed to work on-campus
Compensation and Benefits
CUPE Student $17.40 per hour.
