OpenText Cybersecurity SMB & Consumer solutions help organizations protect their most valuable and sensitive information with products, services, and training. The OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio provides a broad portfolio of data security and data protection solutions that help companies prevent, detect, respond, and recover from the latest cybersecurity threats.

This position is within the Zix | AppRiver business unit of Cybersecurity SMB & Consumer. Zix | AppRiver is a trusted leader in providing productivity, email security, and compliance solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Your Impact

As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in constructing cutting-edge systems that help guide our customers through challenging cyber risks to ultimately find even greater opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and integrating distributed enterprise software for publicly available cloud-based management systems. You will also be contributing to and maintaining private cloud-based software for email threat protection, encryption, and archiving. You will engage in solving meaningful challenges within a motivated team, gaining exposure to advanced technologies beyond individual access. You will be encouraged to cultivate an engineering mindset, driving the creation of innovative software solutions that address real-world problems and shape the future.

As a Principal Software Developer, You Will

  • Translate domain expertise into value for the product, business unit, and customers.
  • Define and deliver large-scale projects, expertly balancing multiple constraints and gaining trust.
  • Create technical solutions that harmonize with and address competing customer goals.
  • Identify and course-correct when the current path does not effectively serve customer needs.
  • Play a key role in setting longer-term strategy for business projects, with a view extending beyond the immediate horizon.
  • Lead in ensuring the quality of the team's technical work, from code to software designs, while raising the skill level of less experienced members.
  • Possess 12-15 years of previous professional experience. (Include based on regional preference)

What You Need To Succeed

  • Strong Object-Oriented design skills
  • Frontend: HTML, JavaScript
  • Frontend frameworks: React or Angular
  • Programming languages: C#, C++, or Java
  • Databases – PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
  • Cloud-Based Technologies: AWS or Azure
  • CI/CD/DevOps: Kubernetes, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Chef or Salt
