MT Talent is proud to partner with an award-winning distributor of safety supplies in the food, industrial and healthcare industries. For over 25 years they have consistently exceeded customers’ expectations of quality and service while expanding their business to multiple distribution facilities and a brand-new manufacturing facility.

As they continue to grow, they are looking to add a Territory Account Manager to their team. This is a remote/home-based role covering all of Alberta. The Account Manager will be in the Alberta territory 4 days per week with 1 day for administration, work-from-home.

What you’ll be doing in the role:

Distributor Relationship Management

  • Identify, onboard, and develop partnerships with distributors within the assigned territory.
  • Provide training and support to distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and marketing materials.
  • Monitor distributor performance, track sales metrics, and implement strategies to maximize their effectiveness.

End User Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key end users, such as businesses, organizations, and institutions requiring PPE and safety products.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the company’s products.
  • Understand the specific needs of end users and tailor solutions that address their unique requirements.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with distributors and end users while ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.

Market Insights and Analysis:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities within the sector.
  • Gather insights on customer preferences, pain points, and emerging demands to inform product development and sales strategies.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to the sales leadership team.

Customer Service and Support:

  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalated customer needs, ensuring prompt resolution and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Day to day accountability for all CRM data related to their activity and territory.

What you bring to the role:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant field of study is preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience in B2B Account Management or Territory Sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting key metrics and deliverables within a sales-based role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at various levels.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, CRM and social media.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously while contributing to overall team/company objectives.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within Alberta regularly.
  • Ability to adapt and juggle various priorities, strong organization and critical thinking skills with high emotional intelligence.
