We are seeking a Pressure Vessel Design Checker to join our client in Edmonton, a leading company in the gas and oil industry.
**Responsibilities:**
- Verify detailed designs and analyses of pressure vessels to ensure adherence to ASME and API standards
- Examine technical specifications, drawings, and calculations
- Conduct of structural integrity assessments and perform failure analyses on pressure vessels
- Evaluate feasibility studies and provide technical insights
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in pressure vessel design and engineering with an understanding of ASME (VIII-1, I and IV, B31. 1, B31. 3 and B31. 5, and VIII-2) and API (510, and 570).
- Engineering software such as AutoCAD (2D and 3D), CADWorx
- Experience with stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) techniques
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
