Big Data Operations Engineer

Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Big Data Support Lead. This Candidate will directly work with client and client partner teams to support in Data transformation and Data processing related activities using niche Big Data skills. Also, work on setup, configuration & day to day activities as per the client requirements. This Candidate will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 6 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 4 to 5 years of experience of data handling activities (Big Data).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Data transformation and Data processing using Spark, Talend, Impala, Hive.
• Working Experience with Unix Shell scripting and Python language with some exposure to AWS S3, Apache/Kafka, NoSQL, Oracle or MySQL Database
• Good to have knowledge of Hadoop commands.
• Should be able to lead a team of multiple Big Data analysts across multiple locations.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
  
  

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:

Ontario: $ 89004 to $ 115491
