Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is excited to be working on behalf of our esteemed client, who is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their thriving finance team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable responsibilities, including invoice processing, payment processing, and record keeping
• Perform monthly reconciliations of all payable accounts
• Maintain precise records of all vendor transactions
• Process EFT payments and cheque runs
• Review all invoices for proper documentation prior to payment
• Journal entries and reconciliation
• Collaborate with other teams to reduce discrepancies and enhance the efficiency of accounting procedures
• Stay in compliance with the company's financial policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of company’s financial data
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to handle complex accounting data
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as a team player
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines
