Our client in Calgary is seeking an Accountant – Reconciliations to join their team on a contract basis. The Accountant - Reconciliations will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel to perform reconciliations and assist in month-end closing processes.

Our client in Calgary is seeking an Accountant – Reconciliations to join their team on a contract basis. The Accountant - Reconciliations will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel to perform reconciliations and assist in month-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations and adjustments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Support month-end closing activities and audits as needed.
- Develop and improve reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency.
- Ad-hoc duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to start immediately.
