About the workplace

This is an 18-month contract role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events. As a Product Manager, Visa, you’ll establish comprehensive catalogue of solutions that deliver on both member desirability & financial ROI for Vancity. You’ll be assigned a portfolio and work the end-to-end product management lifecycle, (planning, designing, bringing better products to market, monitoring and managing product performance) to ensure member satisfaction.

 

The anticipated end date is July 2026.

 

A typical day would involve:

  • Responsible for setting a product vision and defining a product strategy
  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes, including research, planning, positioning, roadmap development, product design, requirements development, product launch, rationalization, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the broader IT Solutions team to prioritize roadmaps and guide new solutions through the product lifecycle to ensure zero distance between organization, member and employee needs
  • Collaborate closely with business readiness teams on the development, and release of products and services to both members and employees alike
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications teams to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Vancity across primary market segments
  • Partner with Change Management teams to ensure employees are well positioned to adopt, use, and promote new products and services in support of both themselves and members
  • Develop expertise within assigned portfolio whilst demonstrating the agility to support other people and portfolios when required

 

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management in technology/finance
  • Knowledge of business and financial concepts, regulatory requirements and product lifecycle management within the financial services industry
  • Experience managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) is a nice to have

  • Analytical - Research and analytical skills to assess and identify opportunities and risks based on consumer, business, market, and community trends.

Salary Band: Band 8

 

The salary range for the role is $81,200 to $122,000 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($101,600). The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
