Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy that aligns with the company’s growth goals and long-term vision. Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities that can drive revenue, expand market reach, and enhance the company’s competitive position. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive partnerships, and emerging opportunities to inform the partnership strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, including C-suite executives. Oversee existing partnerships, ensuring their success, growth, and alignment with business objectives. Lead negotiations for complex partnership deals, establishing terms that benefit both parties and secure long-term value.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to align partnership strategies and ensure seamless integration of partner initiatives. Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure successful onboarding, launch, and ongoing management of partner programs. Ensure that internal teams understand the objectives and expectations of each partnership, driving alignment across departments.
- Design partnership programs that contribute to revenue generation, expanding customer acquisition and engagement through partner channels. Set and monitor revenue and growth targets for partnerships, ensuring they align with company goals. Collaborate with partners on joint marketing and sales strategies to maximize partnership impact.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of each partnership. Regularly present results, insights, and recommendations to the executive team, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement. Use data and insights to make adjustments to partnership strategies, ensuring maximum effectiveness.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing partnership team, providing guidance on strategy, best practices, and performance expectations. Encourage a team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide training, support, and development opportunities to help team members grow their skills and advance their careers.
- Leverage partnerships to increase brand visibility and credibility in key markets and segments. Identify opportunities for international partnerships that can support the company’s expansion into new geographic regions. Work to establish the company as a preferred partner and thought leader in its industry.
- Assess risks associated with partnerships, such as financial implications, brand alignment, and regulatory considerations. Ensure that all partnership agreements comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements. Develop strategies to manage and mitigate risks, protecting the company’s interests and reputation.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within a similar industry. Demonstrated success in forming, negotiating, and managing high-impact partnerships that drive revenue growth and brand visibility. Previous experience leading and building teams, with a history of mentoring and developing high-performing professionals.
- Ability to develop long-term partnership strategies aligned with overall business goals, with a strong sense for market positioning and expansion opportunities. Proficiency in analyzing partnership performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Strong ability to negotiate complex partnership agreements, securing terms that benefit both the company and its partners. A deep understanding of the sales process, with experience driving revenue through partnership channels and supporting joint sales efforts.
- Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives and senior leaders within partner organizations. A commitment to understanding and addressing partner needs, with the ability to advocate effectively for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience working closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, etc.) to align partnership initiatives with company objectives and ensure seamless execution. Ability to rally cross-functional teams around partnership goals, driving alignment and effective implementation.
- A strong understanding of the company’s industry, market trends, and regulatory environment, enabling effective partnership strategies and risk management. Comfort with relevant technologies, products, or platforms used within the industry, as well as CRM or partnership management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex partnership benefits and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to deliver persuasive presentations to prospective partners and executive teams, clearly articulating the value and impact of partnerships.
- A degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is typically preferred. An MBA or other advanced degree can be advantageous for this role.
- A proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. Flexibility to adjust strategies based on shifting market conditions, partner needs, and company goals. A focus on achieving measurable outcomes, with the ability to set and exceed targets related to revenue, growth, and brand impact.
