About the role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mining Systems, the Analyst, Mining Systems will be working in a high-performing team of professionals that is responsible for the delivery and support of leading digital mining technology that is transforming the way EVR operates its mining operations. This position is responsible for a portfolio of operational systems that are used to optimize the safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability of mining operations. They will also be collaborating with innovative software, hardware, and service suppliers to develop, deliver, and maintain these systems.

To be successful, we are looking for someone who can find solutions to complex problems and demonstrates a high level of learning agility. This role requires a self-starting teammate with problem-solving and decision-making abilities, along with experience supporting software platforms, servers and databases. In this role you will:

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Identify, deliver, and maintain digital mining systems across all EVR operations prioritizing safe production. Systems include autonomous and conventional fleet management, high precision guidance, geotechnical monitoring, operator safety, among others
• Develop and leverage relationships across EVR operations and corporate offices to facilitate alignment of objectives and encourage communication and collaboration between operations in all geographic regions
• Apply organizational change management techniques to derive more value from existing technologies and ensure maximum adoption of new technologies
• Develop expertise and breadth of knowledge by performing cross-team support for other Operational Technology teams
• Develop and maintain standards and documentation
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support
• Facilitate and support cyber-security improvements, incident response, and forensics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of progressively senior level experience delivering and supporting information technology services in an industrial setting, preferably in mining
• Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop and server Operating Systems, virtualization and Active Directory
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals relating to wireless networking, firewalls, and knowledge of common network protocols
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Deployment and support of any of the following platforms: CAT (Minestar, Terrain, TPM), Komatsu (Frontrunner, Dispatch), Wenco, Carlson Grade, Hexagon Safemine, Navstar, IBIS, Ground Probe
• Programming experience using Microsoft .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Python or shell scripting including PowerShell
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
