Pika Landscapes, a leader in high-end residential landscape construction in the Whistler area, is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Construction Foreman to join our team. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Landscape Construction Projects:
    • Oversee small crews (2-3 members) to build driveways, patios, pathways, rock walls, decks, fences, and gardens
    • Manage project planning, material coordination, and task sequencing to meet deadlines and maintain quality
    • Ensure projects comply with design specifications and safety standards
  • Crew and Jobsite Management:
    • Set daily and weekly crew goals to ensure productivity
    • Coach and motivate team members to improve quality and efficiency
    • Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized worksite, crew truck, and equipment
  • Client and Supplier Interaction:
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Identify opportunities for additional work and convert them into change orders as appropriate
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Utilize mobile apps to track time, materials, equipment usage and safety documentation
    • Inspect and sign-off on all deliveries and ensure compliance with project requirements
Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on landscape construction experience, including project and crew management
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in operating tools and machinery (e.g., mini-excavators, front-end loaders).
    • Skilled in using laser levels, reading blueprints, and grading sites
    • Familiarity with plant health and lifecycle
    • Carpentry skills are a bonus
  • Attributes: Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability
  • Other Requirements:
    • Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Ability to thrive in outdoor environments, rain or shine
    • The ability to work legally in Canada (citizen, permanent resident or work visa)
