Why this role?

Cohere is on a mission to transform how businesses utilize AI, and we are seeking a tech-savvy and creative Virtual Marketing Events Specialist to join our dynamic team. We believe in the power of virtual events to connect, engage, and inspire audiences worldwide, and this role is central to our marketing strategy.

In this intermediate level individual contributor role, you will lead the planning and execution of captivating virtual events, webinars, and online experiences that showcase Cohere's cutting-edge AI technology to a global audience. Your expertise will be pivotal in expanding our digital footprint and engaging the online community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a robust virtual events calendar, including webinars, online workshops, online developer meet-ups, virtual conferences, and interactive product demonstrations.
  • Strategize and implement innovative strategies to increase event attendance, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Ensure Cohere's virtual events are best-in-class, providing exceptional experiences for attendees and participants.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team, sales, and other stakeholders to align event strategies with Cohere's overall marketing goals.
  • Work with the marketing and design team to develop comprehensive digital marketing assets for virtual events.
  • Source and collaborate with virtual event platforms, streaming services, and other technology providers.
  • Manage event registration, attendee communications, and virtual event logistics.
  • Coordinate with speakers, moderators, and internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Promote events through digital marketing campaigns, social media, and email marketing.
  • Use Hubspot and Salesforce to monitor event performance and analyze event data.
  • Stay updated on virtual event trends and technologies, identifying new opportunities.

  • A Bachelor degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in virtual events and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional creative and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and a good understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
