THE OPPORTUNITY
- Manage a portfolio of accounts; receive, input, process orders from all manners of order receipt for both Piller’s and Mclean’s businesses
- Liaise with sales representatives as required for all order processing
- Handle inquiries and complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits and follow up to ensure resolution on issues (shortages, overages, incorrect product, shipping delays etc.)
- Check for invalid dates, routes, items & customer numbers
- Release, edit, correct and update EDI orders
- Assist sales representatives with all order requirements & issues (order minimums, customer credit hold, order lead time, product promos, new product launches etc.)
- Assist with consumer inquiries and complaints received via website and phone
- Follow up with backorders, late shipments and order tracing
- Perform other Customer Services functions as required, including (but not limited to):
- Vacation coverage
- Order release to the warehouse
- US invoicing
- Open orders & consumer complaints reports
- Export documents
- Samples preparations
- Processing of US orders
- Outbound phone calls for order taking
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Post-Secondary education preferred
- 2-3 years proven customer service; experience in Food Manufacturing industry considered an asset
- Proficient computer skills - MS Office & ERP experience
- Excellent communication (written/verbal - English)
- Customer focused - proven experience providing service excellence
- Ability to adapt/respond to various personalities
- Strong phone handling skills
- Proficient in active listening
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and manage time effectively
- Ability to make decisions independently
- Ability to work under pressure
Able to perform to a high level of accuracy while meeting deadlines.
