We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist who will be responsible for the technical development, implementation, and optimization of multi-channel direct-to-client marketing programs within the Educator’s marketing automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud). The position will report to the Marketing Manager, Client Experience.

The annual salary range for the position is $65,000- $70,000.
As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will:
- Serve as the in-house Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) subject matter expert (SME).
- Campaign design & development: collaborate across the Marketing Team and other departments to understand business needs and gather requirements to translate them into detailed technical requirements and design solutions leveraging core SFMC modules (i.e. Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio etc.).
- Data management: manage audience selection and segmentation by using SFMC to create data extensions and suppression lists to deliver accurately targeted and personalized programs to market. Comply with data privacy policies (i.e. CASL).
- Journeys: design, build, test, flawlessly activate, and continuously optimize journeys to enhance client engagement and/or internal experience.
- Email: build, test and flawlessly deploy campaigns while continuously testing new functionality to improve client experience.
- Automation: recommend and/or collaborate with others to identify new opportunities or improve upon existing workflows to enhance client experience.
- Quality Assurance: ensure the quality and accuracy of initiatives leveraging SFMC.
- Documentation: document processes and automations for future reference.
- Monitor program performance using reporting tools to ensure programs are working as designed and are meeting objectives; build and maintain reports and dashboards; provide recommendations to improve future program KPIs.
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Information Technology or related fields preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules including hands-on experience with Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Audience Builder etc.
- Required certifications: Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
- Other desirable certifications an asset, such as: Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Administrator
- Required technical skills: proficiency in HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and SQL. Strong understanding of data integration tools and APIs within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Experience with creating multi-channel, marketing automation campaigns/solutions.
- Experience with data management and integration tools is a plus.
- Strong relationship building skills (ability to collaborate cross functionally)
- Excellent project/time management skills (i.e., ability to prioritize projects and works well under pressure)
- Detail oriented, excellent testing/QA skills, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
- Excellent communications (verbal/written) skills; ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge and/or experience working in financial services an asset.
