Position Summary:

As a Data Analytics Co-op student, you'll have the opportunity to help design, build, and deliver data-driven solutions to support business decisions. You'll collaborate with teams across the organization to gather insights, create reports, and share knowledge about data tools and best practices. This is a hands-on role where you'll get to learn new skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and work alongside experienced professionals. This will be a 4 or 8-month work term starting May 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help design and create data analytics solutions based on team needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with business leaders and colleagues to understand how data can help improve decisions and business outcomes.
  • Assist in building self-service reporting tools and data dashboards and help train others on how to use them.
  • Support the growth of a data-driven culture by sharing knowledge, learning new tools, and contributing to team discussions about analytics and data visualization.
  • Work with software developers to help organize and connect data so that it's easy for others to use and understand, while ensuring the data is accurate and reliable.
  • Assist with other tasks or projects as needed, based on team priorities.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools like Tableau and Power BI (even if you don’t have expert-level experience, we’re looking for enthusiasm to learn!)
  • Experience with SQL and knowledge of the ETL process.
  • Good at building relationships and working with others to share knowledge and solve problems together.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken—whether you're explaining data insights or working in teams.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, in either MIS, Computer Science, Data Science and/or Business Analytics.
