Position: Application Support Analyst
The Application Support Analyst role is to provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s computing environment and handle all escalated corporate application issues.
What You’ll Do
- Provide 2nd level application support to the whole company (Stores, Support Centre, Grocery Gateway, and Distribution Centre) and at times handle all other 1st level issues that come to the desk.
- Support our Warehouse ERP system, CRM, MS Office apps, Email, VOIP (Cisco), Web applications, Mobile devices, WiFi infrastructure and standard desktop/laptop and peripheral hardware.
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of application related problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions and escalate when necessary.
- Responsible for IT hardware and software moves, adds and changes
- Collect, organize and maintain a problems & solutions database utilizing Track-It Help Desk Software while keeping end users informed with status.
- Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalating problems (when required) to the appropriate area.
- Provide end user documentation and maintain support knowledge base regarding solutions provided.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, or related discipline completed or in progress
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in a application support capacity and /or technical support role.
- Microsoft productivity Tools (Office 365, CRM).
- Knowledge of the Desktop operating systems 90% Microsoft, 10% Mac OS
- Experience with computer hardware and software troubleshooting, documentation, ticket management.
- Working experience with TCP/IP and WAN/LAN technologies
- Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment with solid organizational, multi-tasking capability.
- 2+ years software operational support / sustainment
- Experience supporting desktop and client/server applications and Provide 2nd line support
- Experience with Ticketing Systems
- Experience running SQL queries to troubleshoot issues
- Performing sustainment activities inclusive of Incidents, Requests, or Defects in a team environment
- Delivering support to existing business users by investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies, and queries
- Monitoring application systems by regular scrutiny of reports from alert systems, note problems and identify performance trends
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of computing problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions,
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and guidelines when carrying out responsibility with minimal supervision.
- Ability to Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalating problems (when required) to the appropriate area.
- Work is performed in varying environments including Distribution Centre(s) office environment retail and Food Manufacturing facilities
- Travel is required to our stores, Distribution Centres within and just outside of GTA
- Evening and weekend work is required periodically.
- Some lifting will be required (monitors, CPU-s etc.).
