MAINTENANCE WORKER:

$30.76 p/h

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs general and emergency maintenance and repair duties for Commission-owned properties.

JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:

1. Performs maintenance and repair duties:

(a) Troubleshoots and performs electrical repairs and maintenance.

(b) Repairs/replaces plumbing fixtures and hardware.

(c) Performs general carpentry repairs and maintenance.

(d) Performs exterior repairs and maintenance.

(e) Maintains own inventory of tools.

(f) Operates Employer's vehicle including trailers.

(g) Performs routine repairs and maintenance to appliances and equipment.

(h) Performs routine repairs and maintenance to HVAC equipment.

(i) Redirects contractors according to specifications.

(j) Adheres to safety procedures/practices.

(k) Uses tact and diplomacy when dealing with residents.

2. Other related duties:

(a) Responds to emergencies and makes repairs or calls emergency services.

(b) Performs minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.

(c) Performs other related maintenance duties as required.
