Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations, this role is responsible for technical assistance to users for infrastructure and application related issues reported to the helpdesk. This role also involves coordination with vendors, purchasing and posting the IT invoices in a timely manner for vendor payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely helpful customer service as a first point of contact for application, and desktop support requests and technical issues.
  • Demonstrate consulting and relationship building skills in a professional services environment, working with all levels of the organization.
  • Provide technical support to user community for application and hardware requests such as: Windows operating systems, standard desktop applications and SAAS applications.
  • Ensure that the corporate laptops and desktops are deployed with images that are up to date and in accordance with the company policy and standards using Microsoft Intune.
  • Ensure that the existing network and desktop environment is supported to meet business operational needs.
  • Support the Office 365, Azure, and Intune services.
  • Provide guidance and support on customer incidents or issues by following policies and procedures or creating solution articles for new and unknown issues to empower customer self-service.
  • Analyze, document, and escalate critical requests and incidents to L3 Support Team.
  • Coordinate with and assist the infrastructure team with core infrastructure issues and perform preventative maintenance on critical systems including systems, Network & Security matters as per the instructions.
  • Internal audits for audio and video equipment in the meeting rooms.
  • Assist with hardware and licensing procurement process.
  • Audit and maintain sufficient hardware inventory as per the instructions.
  • Work closely with Infrastructure and Application Manager on monthly account administration and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or a closely related field, or equivalent experience;
  • 2-5 years of database, network administration or systems administration experience;
  • Relevant technical certifications, such as ITIL or other qualifications would be an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in French will be considered an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of systems, software concepts, hardware, networking protocols, and SAAS Applications;
