As we expand to Toronto, we are looking for passionate and experienced team members to uphold our high standards of food, service, and guest experience.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Bar Manager for our new Toronto location to oversee all aspects of the beverage operations as well as the general restaurant operations. The Bar Manager will be directly responsible for ensuring that all food, beverage, and service standards are consistently met, while also driving financial performance. Working closely with the General Manager, the Bar Manager will lead the beverage team, manage staff, and support the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day beverage operations and ensure smooth service in both food and beverage departments.
  • Responsible for all liquor and beverage ordering, as well as conducting inventory counts.
  • In charge of cocktails and beverage recipe development and implementation
  • Promote teamwork, a positive atmosphere, and delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Support and maintain staff morale, motivation, and performance.
  • Achieve financial, quality, and service goals for the restaurant.
  • Develop and maintain good community relations to promote business growth and establish the restaurant’s reputation.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food and service across the entire organization.
  • Engage with customers to provide welcoming service and gather feedback on food and service quality.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee staff, ensuring that responsibilities are completed efficiently.
  • Assist with the projection and delivery of accurate financial reports, both monthly and yearly.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health, safety, and other statutory regulations.
  • Oversee completion of weekly scheduling and payroll for the food and beverage team.
  • Manage inventory and labour costs effectively.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bar management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience in preparing both classic and modern cocktails, with a strong background in mixology.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team of bartenders and staff.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to create a memorable guest experience.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, cost control, scheduling, and payroll.
  • High-level organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine and drinks is an asset but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
