The Opportunity

As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in designing engaging, intuitive, and user-friendly web interfaces for our flagship data visualization platform. Working closely with product management, design, and developers, you will help deliver seamless digital experiences that delight users and drive business impact. Your role will focus on user research, interaction design, prototyping, and delivering high-quality web interfaces that align with our ambitious goals.

What You’ll Do

• UX Design & Research:
• Work closely with stakeholders to implement their vision of platform.
• Analyze user behavior, identify pain points, and develop strategies to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
• Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to visualize user flows and interactions.
• Design & Prototyping:
• Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing web components that balance functionality with existing design esthetic.
• Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and interactions effectively.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive experience for all users.
• Collaboration & Iteration:
• Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and other design team members to ensure designs align with technical requirements and business goals.
• Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback to improve and iterate on designs.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and component libraries for consistent UI patterns across web platforms.
• Performance & Optimization:
• Use data and analytics to continuously assess the performance of web designs and suggest improvements based on user feedback and behavioral data.
• Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for various devices and screen sizes.

Who You Are

• 1-3 years of professional experience in UX design for web applications or websites, preferably in a fast-paced or tech-driven environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your skills in UX design, web design, interaction design, and problem-solving.
• Experience with data visualization, ideally focused on dashboarding or geospatial workflows.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is considered an asset.
• Understanding of the renewable energy sector or interest in sustainable technology is considered an asset.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are excited about working in a fast-paced start-up environment and embracing change and ambiguity.
