The Retail Merchandising Internship focuses on supporting our Sr. Merchandise Manager. This project-based internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of merchandising within a luxury retail environment.
Program Structure:
- First 4 Weeks: Begin your journey with 4 weeks in store at two different locations (Yorkdale Mall and Bloor St.), allowing you to discover the diversity of our retail organization. This initial phase is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of retail operations, essential for later learnings.
- Next 12 Weeks: Work closely with the Sr. Merchandise Manager on various merchandising tasks and projects.
- Final 4 Days: Conclude with a department-specific assignment that showcases your learnings and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of merchandising strategies.
- Support in the analysis of sales data and market trends to inform merchandising decisions.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Merchandise Manager on inventory management and product placement.
- Assist in the preparation of merchandising reports and presentations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising/Buying, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Passion for the luxury retail industry and a keen eye for detail.
