We are currently hiring a Product Manager, Peer-to-Peer Marketplace based in our Head Office in Burnaby.
Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (2 Remote / 3 On Site). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.
As the Product Manager, Peer-to-Peer Marketplace at BCAA, you will lead the vision, strategy, and development of BCAA’s innovative Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketplaces, including the Auto Marketplace, Connect, and Services Marketplace. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow two-sided marketplaces that redefine how members connect, trade, and access services in British Columbia.
You will be responsible for all aspects of product management, including product discovery, market research, design and development oversight, and strategic road mapping. By synthesizing customer feedback, data insights, and market trends, you will deliver features and improvements that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth. This role is ideal for an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual with hands-on experience in marketplace or e-commerce product management who thrives on setting new benchmarks in digital innovation.
Who you are:
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.

- Develop and execute the overarching product strategy for BCAA’s Peer-to-Peer Marketplaces, aligning with business goals and long-term growth objectives to deliver measurable value.
- Build, maintain, and communicate detailed product roadmaps, ensuring they reflect customer needs, market trends, and internal priorities to drive engagement and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, UX design, development, and operations—to deliver seamless product experiences and meet critical milestones.
- Define and document comprehensive product requirements, including epics, user stories, customer journey maps, and technical specifications to guide the development process.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace performance using KPIs and analytics, identifying trends, assessing customer engagement, and recommending iterative improvements.
- Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer insights to identify opportunities for product innovation, differentiation, and expansion into new markets.
- Drive the launch and growth of Peer-to-Peer Marketplaces in both existing and new markets, tailoring strategies to meet regional demands and customer preferences.
- Lead the end-to-end development of new features, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Manage external vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and overseeing deliverables to ensure alignment with BCAA’s standards and objectives.
- Partner with internal teams to create localized marketing and engagement strategies for new market launches while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Act as a key advocate for the Peer-to-Peer Marketplaces, presenting updates, progress, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor and manage a team of product specialists, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focused on marketplaces and/or e-commerce.
- Hands-on experience in developing and launching new digital products, including managing roadmaps and working closely with UX and development teams.
- Proven ability to analyze customer needs and market trends to create innovative solutions that deliver measurable business results.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in supervising teams, mentoring team members, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in change management, with the ability to lead teams and stakeholders through transitions effectively while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
- Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Training in Agile product development or Design Thinking practices.
- Experience with tools like Jira for project management.
- Familiarity with mockup and wireframe tools for product design.
