Assembly Tech Intern

Key responsibilities:

• Technical role to support test engineering team
• Test station documentation, builds, inventory management, equipment tracking, PO requests and tracking
• Test Station assembly, documentation & maintenance
• Mechanical assembly of circuit packs and test jigs, both following work instructions and creating work instructions
• Equipment tracking & escalation of material shortages to trigger new orders
• Install and solder electronic components
• Removal and reinstallation of components
• Addition of wire barnacles, PCB trace modifications and other board upgrades as directed by designers and test engineers
• Visual inspection of PCBA and repair work to confirm compliance with corporate and industry standard
• Provide feedback on assembly issues to assist engineers in development of shop instructions for factory deployment

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Familiar with Laboratory environment
• Telecommunication knowledge (protocol, standards & optical products)
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to provide feedback to team members in a clear and constructive manner
• Work with cross functional teams and CM’s around the world to support completing NPI tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability manage multiple projects at the same time
• Willingness to engage others to achieve results
