Retail Operations Manager

As the Retail Operations Manager for Nova Scotia, you will be managing your assigned territory and provide critical operational support to our retail sites and site operators. Your goal will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with our operators to ensure sales growth. Your success will be dependent on your ability to maintain relationships with our operators, drive strong sales for your territory, and manage all aspects of your assigned territory.

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide a safety culture including personal and process safety
- Develop local and regional market and industry expertise
- Develop annual volume and financial budgets for existing sites located in assigned territory
- Responsible for profit & loss performance and achieving annual budgets for the assigned territory
- Provide day to day operational support to the existing dealer and joint venture network and proactively collaborate with dealers and joint venture partners to develop and execute growth plans
- Negotiate existing dealer contract renewals and achieve new retail site growth targets and prepare supporting business cases for approvals
- Maintain site level operating standards
- Develop and implement 5-year business and market plans for assigned territory
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and be a key contact for support
- Implement marketing and sales initiatives and communicate these programs within our network
- Work closely with marketing and IT to ensure we have a competitive offering in the market
- Work with the Credit department to manage and limit risk exposure
Your Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Financial acumen, with strong negotiation skills and an ability to influence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal oriented, with an ability to make independent decisions within established business criteria
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change
Your Experience:
- Post-Secondary education preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in a sales related role, preferably within the retail petroleum industry
- A proven track record of successful sales prospecting and territory management
