What can you expect in this role?
As a member of Sonnet’s Digital Content team, you’ll create content that educates and motivates our audience, drives engagement to meet our organizational goals and wins the hearts and minds of our future and existing customers across digital channels.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Support the Content Manager:
- Execute a content strategy that drives business goals and report on KPIs to senior leadership
- Ensure content aligns with accessibility standards, internal style and effectively drives organizational objectives.
- Think strategically and tie deliverables to business goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Marketing, Dev and Product and Legal:
- Deliver strategic content tailored to target audiences that increases brand awareness and conversion rates
- Craft SEO content for blogs and landing pages that enhance target customer acquisition, expansion, conversion and retention
- Write in-app microcopy focused on clarity, usability, and consistency to guide users through their journey
- Engage translation services to ensure content is optimized and localized for our French-speaking audience
- Liaise with product teams to understand features of our core products and services and translate those benefits to our users and audiences
What you bring to the table:
- A university degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field and a minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience writing content
- You’re a critical thinker and data-driven
- You’re a first-rate copywriter and editor – able to translate complex information to diverse audiences while meeting accessibility standards
- You’re skilled at SEO, with experience using tools to research and analyze performance (ie Google Search Console, SEMRush, or similar)
- Familiarity with UX and Content Design best practice with experience writing microcopy for transactional apps, (Experience with Figma is a plus.)
- You’ve worked with a CMS and are a fast learner when it comes to using new software
- You thrive in a collaborative and agile team environment (Jira experience is an asset)
- You’re customer-focused and love working with a team
- A desire to learn, grow and expand your skills
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
- Insurance industry knowledge and experience is an asset
This is an 18 month contract role.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
