Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Payroll Services, the Payroll Advisor works independently to perform all tasks related to processing multiple payrolls. This involves preparing and processing all payroll transactions in the HRP Link Payroll System, computation of deductions, benefits, and specialized payments where applicable, reconciliation and preparation of manual cheques as required, distribution of costs, development, and preparation of records of employment and updating payroll information regularly to the financial information system. The Payroll Advisor works closely with both the Finance and Human Resources Departments to ensure accurate employee profiles and completes monthly benefit reconciliations and remittances.
Qualifications / Experience
This position is covered by the C.U.P.E Local 3166.00 Collective Agreement.

Job Summary

Qualifications / Experience
- Excellent working knowledge of computerized payroll systems and computer applications such as Microsoft
- Experience with HRP Link Payroll System is a definite asset.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum of two (2) years of payroll experience preferable in a school board environment or similar government agency.
- High School Diploma as well as post-secondary courses working towards the completion of the Canadian Payroll
- Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task, prioritize with competing/changing demands and high attention to detail
