Swish is Canada’s source for quality cleaning supplies. We offer thousands of cleaning and janitorial products and serve thousands of customers, big and small. Serving Kingston and the surrounding area (roughly Trenton to Prescott), the Customer Development Manager, or “CDM”, is responsible for growing Swish’s business and brand, managing an existing book of business through the actions of prospecting and strategic sales planning. In this role, key areas of focus and responsibility will be the research of industry, market, and territory trends, the management of key customer accounts, and the continued development and execution of sales and service strategies. The Customer Development Manager serves as the primary contact for customer decision-makers and ultimately creates and owns the long term experience for those customers.

What does a Swish Customer Development Manager do?
- Act with Integrity at all times: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Maintain a Growth Mindset: Help the business by growing sales within existing accounts, expanding customer contracts, identifying and developing new opportunities.
- Be a Trusted Partner : Understand customer needs and objectives; remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs.
- Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales.
- Achieve overall gross margin targets and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to assist with sales forecasting.
- Develop a Deep Expertise: Establish product knowledge of all Swish lines of business, including I&L (Industrial & Laundry), Equipment, and Chemical, in order to provide the customer with effective solutions.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- 3 years sales experience with proven success in a B2B environment
- Business and financial acumen around sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning
- Ability to clearly articulate business drivers, understand key financial and total cost of ownership concepts with all levels of the organization
- Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions
- Proven ability to manage a designated territory and/or customer base to maximize revenue growth
- Interpersonal skills required to deal with staff members and customers
- End use market experience with education, healthcare, facilities management, hospitality and government is an asset
- Experience with Windows/Microsoft Office/Google Suite and CRM platforms preferred
