Reporting to the MDS National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be based in the Vancouver BC region and will be responsible for driving growth and managing base business (including vascular access and vascular care portfolios) across key customers in the defined territory - British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The MDS Territory Manager will execute the go-to-market strategy to achieve both customer and BD Canada goals, ensuring positive relationships with key decision makers and influencers such as Nurses, Pharmacists, Physicians, Technicians, Materials Management, and Hospital Management.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and manage sales targets through effective management of BD’s base business and growth opportunities in the territory.
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities and a business plan for the territory.
- Implement strategic plans by collaborating with sales, marketing, and clinical teams and maximizing hospital contracts in the assigned territory.
- Manage and negotiate product validations, conversions, and sustainability plans.
- Translate strategic marketing and sales plans into account-specific plans, leveraging product value propositions to achieve targeted sales and growth.
- Work closely with BD Clinical and Sales Teams to provide technical and best practice solutions to end users.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within hospitals in the territory.
- Ensure high awareness of BD’s portfolio among all hospitals in the assigned territory.
- Act as the customer subject matter expert to deliver win/win solutions.
- Lead account planning initiatives, including forecasting and strategic planning calls.
- Manage RFP processes pre, during, and post phases.
- Maintain sales data and records to understand market trends.
- Uncover and share competitive intel and market insights.
- Effectively manage selling expenses.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven track record of sales successes.
- Experience selling to multiple levels of clinical, technical, and economic stakeholders.

Education and Experience:
- University degree.
- 2+ years experience selling medical devices to acute care facilities.
- Experience developing customer relationships and presenting to multiple levels within an organization.
- Ability to manage complex sales environments with multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of PHSA and 3sHealth is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
