Reporting into the Supervisor Food, the Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for being the liaison between production and the management team.

Function as a liaison between production and management.

  • Maintain the effective and efficient operation of the production plan on given shift by:
  • Supervising Production Status
  • Direct, Re-allocate or Perform (hands-on) changes to plan
  • Capture and track deviations to plan
  • Validate Food Safety / HACCP as per plan per shift.
  • Ensure all quality control and sanitation procedures and standards are maintained.
  • Ensure employees adhere to and understand safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Support on going development of staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Understand, support, and ensure full implementation of operation process.
  • Ensure Customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a RAIC or ability to attain one is a must.
  • Possession of a DA or ability to attain one is a must.
  • Ability to use/learn in-house software programs, Windows/ Microsoft Office, SAP, Airline software: FIDS, Sabre.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage a high volume of work.
  • Ability to liaise effectively in a unionized environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, openness, honesty and mutual respect.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred:

  • Degree/Certificate in Finance, Business, Culinary Arts preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of kitchen experience in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with accounts payable a strong asset.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and disclose data in an accurate manner.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management team and staff.
