Senior Manager - Marketplace

Job Description

Some of what you will do:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Online Marketplaces to join our team at Staples Canada company. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving success in our online marketplace operation, enhancing our presence across various platforms, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with an understanding of e-commerce trends & operations, strong leadership skills, as well as project planning and implementation.

Specifically, You Will

• Assist in execution of online marketplace strategy to drive revenue growth and market share.
• Analyze, report and action on optimization of listings, pricing, and promotions across multiple online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to align marketplace strategies with overall business objectives.
• Analyze marketplace performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage relationships with marketplace partners and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with marketplace policies and regulations.
• Lead the marketplace operations team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  
  

Some Of What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; post-graduate and/or MBA preferred.
• Working knowledge of web site structure and functionality.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce software and platforms.
• Strong online analytics skills using tools like Adobe, Google analytics.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market share in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of online marketplace dynamics, policies, and best practices.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in e-commerce, with a focus on online / B2B marketplaces.
