TELUS Health has a team of dynamic Fitness & Wellness Consultants across the country. These individuals help our clients live their best lives through the use of physical activity, wellness workshops and health fairs. We are looking for a part time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in the Debert, Nova Scotia area. Ideally this person will have experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field.
This position is on-site 16 hours per month, (8 hours bi-weekly).

We are looking for a part time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in the Debert, Nova Scotia area. Ideally this person will have experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field.

What you’ll do:
- Organize special events, workshops, and lunch and learn presentations, annual health fair
- Lead on-site stretch breaks
- Conduct wellness consultations upon request on areas related to fitness, mobility, injury prevention and back care including recommendations and follow up
- Promote and share TELUS Health monthly wellness resources
- Promote and share wellness partner resources
- Report monthly and/or quarterly participation stats
What you bring:
- Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
- Current certifications in personal training and CPR/First Aid/AED
- Positive energy, confidence, ability to engage with diverse groups of people
- High degree of self motivation and initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
