Description

The Carrier Management team provides data analytics, carrier advocacy, pipeline management and reporting services to carrier clients. The team works closely with broking and industry teams to drive revenue growth, market rationalization, and improved knowledge to support better client prospecting and service.

The Role

As a Associate Director on the Carrier Management team, you will engage with the Corporate Risk and Broking community across North America in managing carrier partnership and relationships across a broad spectrum of products and industries. You will put the interests of clients and the integrity of the markets at the heart of the way you do business while building strong carrier relationships with the goal of delivering competitive and innovative products for our clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Build strong C-suite relationships with carriers and be the key interface with the Insurer Executive Leadership in the Geography
  • Develop and maintain client relationships as agreed within the region
  • Understand market trends to deliver a vision of the future
  • Manage and drive Market Derived Income (including governance) within the geography
  • Ensure that the Carrier Management related components of the Broking strategy are delivered, always aligning to our core principle of acting in the best interests of our original clients
  • Ensure the delivery of contractually committed services to carriers whilst coordinating and collaborating with our local, regional and global teams where appropriate i.e. Scheduling, documenting and effectively managing local carrier engagement activity.
  • In conjunction with our Analytics and Broking Teams provide carriers with performance analytics and feedback, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement that support innovation in products, services and broader propositions.
  • Lead and support development of our Carrier Management value proposition, alongside supporting innovation in products, services and propositions more broadly ie. Facilities and platforms
  • Be the focal point of our relationships with key markets, internally and externally, plus lead or support the local/regional/ global coordination of activity as required.
  • Lead aspects of and support the sales activities related to our Carrier Service Agreements – whether new sales, renewal of existing agreements, or cross sell of WTW services.
  • Manage formal preparation of Business Development proposals, its costing, negotiation and presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage the renewal process of existing carrier agreements i.e. early engagement and discussions, legal documentation preparation and execution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording, management and execution of MDI carrier related activities.
  • Lead regular local and/or regional Carrier Management calls/meetings with Executives.

Qualifications

The requirements

  • Solid track record in an insurance role with evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in broking activities
  • Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation.(a Big Plus)
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
  • Excellent understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solve client issues
  • Strong skills in planning
  • High levels of business acumen with an understanding of company strategy
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
