The Aerospace Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall Value Stream Management (VSM) performance of the A220 program, including coordination with major component suppliers, the Pre-FAL business unit, and the two Final Assembly Lines (FAL) until the transition to the Customer Line organization. This role is pivotal in providing governance management through comprehensive performance measures and managing risks and opportunities at the operations level. The ideal candidate will be a skilled conductor, coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve collective objectives and ensure seamless integration between Airbus Canada and Airbus Commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
Value Stream Management (VSM) Performance:
- Gather and consolidate pertinent information from diverse stakeholders to deliver comprehensive VSM performance metrics.
- Provide performance measures used by the Airbus Canada leadership team as well as the Airbus Commercial Aircraft leadership team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Governance & Risk Management:
- Oversee the governance management of the A220 program by managing Risks & Opportunities at the operations level.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage deviations or issues that could have a financial impact on the A220 Program or Airbus Commercial.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and opportunity management plans to safeguard and enhance program performance.
Stakeholder Coordination & Integration:
- Lead and manage the entire VSM organization, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and related functions to achieve a collective objective.
- Act as a conductor, ensuring clear communication and timely execution of initiatives across the VSM network.
- Facilitate the integration of A220 VSM – Operations between Airbus Canada and Airbus Commercial, ensuring seamless collaboration and information flow.
Strategic Planning & Performance Reporting:
- Develop strategic plans based on the VSM performance data, aligning operational activities with overall business goals.
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in program or project management within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors, with specific exposure to value stream management and operations performance in regulated industries.
- Proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and delivering performance-driven results.
Technical & Leadership Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks and opportunities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in strategic planning, performance reporting, and governance in an aerospace or related high-tech industry.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.21/hour - $53.45/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
