Lead Platform Analyst, Network Security, Brampton, ON

In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical ability and critical thinking in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. You will provide critical support, and act as a subject matter expert for Network Security. You will review new and existing solutions and identify areas of improvement and opportunities to enhance security. Working closely with a complementary team, you will implement simple, resilient, and scalable network solutions, which help all Canadians Live Life Well.

What You'll Do:

  • Focus on continual improvement by assessing existing deployments and identify opportunities to optimize and tighten security posture
  • Perform support activities required to maintain the department’s operational objectives which includes off hours changes and support
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner and demonstrate a concrete sense of urgency
  • Actively be involved in the research, design, planning, development and/or evaluation of new network security technologies to enhance our security posture
  • Review CVEs and determine potential impacts and next steps for vulnerability management
  • Work with colleagues across the enterprise to implement security best practices for new solutions and deployments

What You Bring:

  • Hands on experience with NGFWs and cloud native security toolsets, including security policy management and optimization
  • Knowledge of network access control and endpoint detection and response
  • Understanding of zero trust principles and how to apply them in an enterprise setting
  • Solid grasp of standard networking technologies including dynamic routing, switching, load balancing, IP sub-netting, IP transport
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve network related issues
  • Strong communications skills and a curious mind to spur discussion and find new ways of protecting the enterprise and our customers
