Your role @ Chanel:

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team and support with our efforts in meeting sustainability goals and reporting requirements.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

  • Coordinate on sustainability efforts for Canada and work closely with regional and global teams as required.
  • Identify and prioritize sustainability gaps.
  • Assist in develop and managing a comprehensive roadmap for gap closure including detailed action plan.
  • Administer the sustainability initiatives and projects for Canada and as well as any regional and global ones as required.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders of Chanel to monitor, administer and manage all initiatives and project related work.
  • Gather industry and market intelligence, prepare detailed reporting on data, metrics and other relevant information relating to sustainability within the country and globally.
  • Work with suppliers to source, review quotations and contracts for project related purchases.
  • Foster and manage stakeholder relationships across the business units and suppliers.
  • Measure metrics and key performance indicators for new commitments.
  • Develop a structured reporting process to monitor and review progress and share with leadership teams.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data to create dashboards.
  • Assist in quarterly and year-end reporting on Sustainability efforts progress to be shared internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to expand and improve implementation, metrics and communications.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience and knowledge in the field of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and procurement areas.
  • Education (or degree) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
  • Any certifications relating to Sustainability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced data analysis and comprehensive sustainability reporting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of ERP, Reporting tools, etc.
  • Working collaboratively with Suppliers and Stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual terms.
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and work independently.
