Class 4 Day Care Van Driver - Summerside at Kepler Academy Early Learning & Child Care

Do you have a Class 4 Drivers License with commercial driving experience and are you looking for a steady part-time job, working 4 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon as a bus driver? Kepler wants you on our team!

We are looking for part-time drivers to ensure children are safely transported to and from our childcare centres. If you meet the position requirements and are willing to work before & after school transportation, this may be the opportunity for you to work with a passionate team at our organization.

*This position now qualifies for a Government Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.64-$8.62 premium/ hour) depending on your level of ECE certificate. *

Part-Time Hours: 6 hours a day, 30 hours a week

Daily Schedule:

Early Morning: 7:15 am - 9:15 am

Late Morning: 10:45 am - 12:45 pm

Afternoon: 2:15 pm - 4:15 pm

*School days only, Monday to Friday, no weekends or summer month*

What will you do?

As a Day Care Van Driver, you will transport children in our care to and from our childcare centre.

• Safely transport school-aged children using a company passenger vehicle
• Able to drive morning and afternoon shifts to neighbouring schools
• Communicate clearly with the centre management and staff
• Assist students in getting on and off the vehicle
• Obey traffic laws at all time
• Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and safe
• Perform vehicle safety inspections before and after each route
• Other duties as required
  
  

You will possess the following:

• 1+ year of commercial driving experience. School bus driving experience is an asset
• Ability to follow instructions and obey traffic laws
• Attention to detail and safety is a priority of yours
  
  

Qualifications:

• Class 4 Full License (non-GDL) with commercial passenger experience
• Able to provide Clean 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract
• Able to provide a Criminal Record with a Vulnerable Sector Check
